INGREDIENTS OF DOLOMITE

Formula: CaMg(CO3)2

Name: Dolomite – natural calcium and magnesium carbonate. Is the name of a carbonate sedimentary rock and a mineral. This mineral is named in honor of D. Dolomieu (1750 – 1801) – a French mineralogist and chemist, who discovered a new mineral during an expedition to the Alps. Lava containing up to 95% dolomite is also called Dolomite.

 DOLOMITE APPLICATIONS

1) Manufacture of refractory bricks
2) In ferrous metallurgy, steelmaking

Use dolomite as flux aid, slag disintegration as well as magnesium sintering ore processing.

3) Production of metallic magnesium
4) Production of adhesives
5) Production of insulation material
6) Dolomite is used to build industry, houses, roads

Used in the form of crushed stone, crushed stone, boulder. Dolomite chips are used as fillers for concrete and for laying railway floors.

7) Glass industry

In the glass-melting mix, dolomite accounts for 10-20%

8) Production of abrasive powder

From live dolomite and sintered dolomite, people make powder to polish glass, polish metal, mother-of-pearl. To make grinding powder, dolomite requires purity, not containing more than 2% of insoluble residues.

9) In chemical and pharmaceutical industry

Requires dolomite to be very clean, containing a lot of MgO, less clay and other impurities.

10) In the fertilizer industry

Use dolomite as a non-stick agent for fertilizers made from ammonium nitrite (NH4, NO3).

11) In the rubber manufacturing industry

Dolomite powder has the effect of making rubber more solid and accelerating the vulcanization process.

12) In the cellulose paper industry, in the leather industry, in the production of ceramics, in lacquers

Use dolomite in the form of live powder or sintered. The ceramic industry uses clean dolomite to make a mixture of porcelain glazes to make the glaze more even and iridescent.

13) Use of dolomite in agriculture

Together with limestone, dolomite is used to produce dry sulfur lime, which kills poisonous fungi and insects, and neutralizes acidity in the soil.

14) Using dolomite in environmental treatment

Dolomite and especially products processed from it are products that are widely used in the world for the following purposes: domestic water purification, water environment improvement for aquaculture or cultivation purposes. specific plants, color treatment for some types of wastewaters, treatment of acidic gases.
